Hi everyone,
Hope your new year is starting out well. I was thinking about something I thought you could help with. Why do you think some people post to message boards and others do not? I had some ideas of why someone might not post from my personal experience, but want to get more opinions.
• I am afraid I will make a spelling or grammatical err and others will see.
• I am afraid I will offend someone and therefore do not post.
• I am afraid my post will not be interesting and therefore do not post.
• Some times my assistive software or hardware does not work the best or I might be having a bad day and it is hard to post and takes extra time and therefore do not post.
As you see my reasons are mostly around fear, but I am sure there are others. Would be glad to hear about them. The only way we can help each other is to overcome our hesitations of posting information that others can use to help themselves. We all want each other to succeed the best we can. Even a message with a typo is better then no message at all. Even a message that is not interesting to everyone, but interesting to a few is better then not helping a few your message helps. This message board is a friendly place and I want everyone to feel comfortable.
Talk with all of you soon.
Have a wonderful day.

This is a great question that you are asking. I feel people "hovering" over all the time and I can also see them in the numbers. It gets a bit lonely and scary to keep writing and writing, but then a bunch will swoop in to tell the truth. You are right --- people are afraid to write, don't think they know what to say, some just need the inspiration and one person told me shhh! I am learning from within. Thanks for acknowledging this reality.
