Friends,
I can hardly believe I’m writing this.
I just underwent another emergency operation and was in the hospital 6/22-6/29/05. This one was the result of complications from my April 2 operation. Scar tissue that had caused my intestines to convolute had to be removed. Although not a common occurrence, it happens more frequently than medical science would like to admit. A real drag, yet once again an enlightening experience. I thought I had learned all the lessons for this – my 60th year – from the first operation; the 2nd taught me that I still had at least one very important lesson to learn!
In a nutshell, I have to truly release the past, including the persona I had been taking on as an ex-EHM, and embrace this epoch we are co-creating, the phoenix that will rise from the ashes of the EHM-created Empire. This is not a time for anger or guilt, but rather one for creativity, love, hope, and action.
The bad news is that I must cancel all my events through September – including the 8-day Omega workshop which I’ve done for so many years and love from the bottom of my heart – and only do a select few after September, through the end of 2005.
The good news is that this “recess” opens opportunities for me to work on the new section of the Penguin/Plume paperback version of “Confessions” – to be published in January 2006 – and on the follow-up books which will delve even deeper. It also gives me time to work with a couple other ex-EHMs and jackals who appear ready to share their stories . . .
In that same regard, I will be cuting back on email and other correspondence for the next few months.
What a time!
John
