Frankl is very inspiring. I wonder what it really means to say that love is the highest goal to which we can aspire? By the time Frankl was saved from despair by contemplating his beloved she may already have been dead. I wonder if it was really the contemplation of the fact that he was loved which saved him? In other words, not love, but the conviction of our significance, is what saves us.
