Have you noticed with all the horrible tragedies and political battles going on that we are only hearing about the dead and dying here and there. What I find interesting is that news reports on mainstream media only report deaths in Iraq as they happen --- one here, two or three there and an occasional statement that over 2000 military have died. They rarely give us an assessment of the big picture --- the whole picture so one can it in perspective with his damage.
Has anyone noticed that the totals of just military lost in IRAQ are up to 2,345 for "coalition forces"? Three hundred forty five individual sons, daughter, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers have died since we hit the 2000 mark in this illegal war. This means 2144 US, 98 UK and 103 OTHER coalition forces.
Has anyone noticed that just in the last 73 days (two months and 12 days in December), we've lost 216 military lives??? Have you looked at the civilian body count lately, too? --- those are innocent civilian deaths, individuals that the most powerful leaders in the world are not big enough to acknowledge. Check out this accounting.
The Sunday talk shows today seemed to banter about the war as something that will utlimately be used and manipulated for political gain or loss in the 2006 elections. How gross! Do they think we don't hear them or we are too dumb to understand or is it that they don't care, because our indifference and helplessness leaves them in charge. I'm sure I've heard this before, but when you start paying attention even just a little bit, you realize how truly awful the moral character is of our society and particularly of our leaders. Those responsible should be up for war crimes.
What do you think? When should this war be stopped for the good of the whole world?
