Oh, I've been so overwhelmed lately. It seems I have way more to do than hours in the day. How about you? However, I admit this isn't a great mantra to be repeating to oneself. "I am so overwhelmed." It tends to overwhelm you and keep you in that state.
So, this morning like magic, I read this great message from an old treasured book by John Homer Miller to get me back on track:
"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life, not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens. Circumstances and situations do color life, but you have been given the mind to choose what the color shall be. Your living is at least 90 percent attitude. The thoughts you live with, the faith you live by, the images you cherish, the habitual things you say to yourself, the spiritual relationships you cling to, determine the way you live. Your inner thinking determines your actions. Your living is determined far more by your attitudes than by your ancestors. What you are doing now in your life is determined by what you think about life itself. New living is the result of new ways of looking at life."
As we think in our hearts, so we are.
How could I forget this important message?
So, tomorrow I will start with a new attitude. See my full day as a blessing with many new colors.
Will you join me?
Best...

I seem to be in a very similar place... which unfortunately has been exacerbated by some Winter Blues... too much cold, dreary weather can have a huge affect on my mood! Just yesterday I was thinking that I had nothing to post on my blog because all I felt was an amazing sense of crushing defeat when I looked at my to do list vs. my ta done list. I loved this quote, and am seriously considering having it tattooed on my forehead. Some days I need just this kind of reminder -- and today was one of them. Thank you!

Thank you for this reminder. Lynne put into words some of what I've been experiencing lately, as well. Shall we make a date to go to the tatoo parlour together? I'll have mine on my chest, please.

Lynne:
It is great fun when we connect, yes? There is something so meaningful about recognizing we're not alone. This has been a week to practice new internal messaging. It sounds like Sara is ready to join us in tatooing that message into permanance.
Sara:
You made me laugh so out loud. Hmmm! I think I want mine inside my heart and mind where it will shine from the inside out with a new attitude. I'm working on it!!!
So glad to "see" you too!

Great post!
I have always believed in "It is not the facts which get in the way, but one's attitude".
Well, today my attitude was really low and I found it hard to be thankful.
Every day I try to be thankful for what I have and it gives me a great attitude towards life.
Thanks for the reminder!!

Dear Maria,
Thanks so much for stopping by. I could totally relate to your feelings. Many times just writing or reading a little bit of wisdom makes a difference for me, too!
Hope you'll you'll come back. Thanks so much for meeting me on this path.
