“The creative individual not only respects the irrational in himself, but courts the most promising source of novelty in his own thoughts…The creative person is both more primitive and more cultured, more destructive and more constructive, crazier and saner, than the average person.”
--- Frank Barron
Creative tension is fed by extremes. Creativity feeds on tension and grows in chaos. Often a creative person will be labeled eccentric or wildly over the top. What is it that brings one to such a free level of self-expression? Does the extremes that one experiences form the creative fire? Historically over time we have always looked to our artists, musicians, poets and authors with a sense of curiosity and awe. In truth, we all hold creativity at the core of our being. When our creativity is fully expressed our lives are richer.
Notice where your creativity comes alive in your life. You may be surprised; it could be in the way you communicate, provide care or express a fine art. Give yourself credit, feed your creativity, allow it to fully come to life.
