“By exploring the patterns of an unfocused mind – becoming aware of our lack of awareness – we automatically increase our awareness and become more focused. As we reactivate our focus again and again, we eventually discover in our focusing a special relaxation, a pool of positive energy that gives strength to concentration and feeds back into expanded awareness. When we feed this energy into our work, it becomes increasingly available. We may be amazed at how much we can accomplish.”
“Mastering Successful Work” Tarthang Tulku
The unfocused mind is like a wild horse. When you tame it, you increase your awareness. Focusing can actually create a strong sense of relaxation and positive energy but we must first work with it’s untamed nature. Notice tomorrow where your mind darts off to. Decide not to follow it. Pull the reins in, breathe and notice the increased focus and relaxation available to you.
