As we step further into this new year, I hope you too will be thinking about how you can refresh, revitalize and renew your spirit. It begins by clearing out the cludder in your mind, preparing it for new thinking, new ideas and new promise for the future.
Especially in this time of economic crisis, it is hard perhaps to see the opportunity that comes with times of great struggle and doubt and fear, but if we have courage to "ponder anew." It is always the first step toward our "rebirth."
I learned one time that Shoshin in Japanese means "beginners mind." It doesn't mean a closed mind. But an empty and ready mind. If one's mind is empty, it is always ready for anything. It is open to new thinking, new questions, new points of view, new people.
In a beginners mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's mind there are few.
May this be a season of renewal A clearing out...an opening up Each of us in our own right Unique and different Beginner's minds. Hearts beating. For a moment All in One.

Hi Debbe,
I have been decluttering so as to have a beginner's mind once again....discipline, focusing and freedom are the big issues that I feel the need to achieve....I have learnt our wonderful universal message....that it is never too late to begin again, especially once we have persevered some of life's most difficult personal challenges, learnt from them and are able to know our souls that much more profoundly. Then the new experiences are so anticipated....it's so exciting to know your own soul and its huge resevoire....
Hugs
Nina

Hi Nina,
Thank you so much for adding this wonderful insight to the idea of having a beginner's mind. It wonderful to embrace anything uncluttered. I wish I could remember this always!
Best...
